Hey world, it’s me, Annabelle. I told Mama to move over so that I could share a little tale of my own…
So Mama and Daddy keep talking about this Santa Claus fellow, who they claim is going to fly onto our roof and climb down our chimney so he can leave me a whole bunch of presents. How he is going to get through our gas-powered fireplace is beyond me, but I’ll leave that to Santa and his reindeer-engineers to figure out. Nonetheless, I decided to do a little investigating into this bearded chap to see if I could get a look at all of the goodies he’ll be carrying.
I talked over my plan with Daddy and determined that the next time I heard a “pitter-pat” on our roof, I would move into action…
And a little while later, it happened! I heard some tapping on our roof and knew that Santa was here! Thinking that I would need to be careful so as not to scare off the sneaky fellow, I put on my new slippers to help me move quietly…
and my hoodie to help me to be incognito.
As soon as I was decked out in my finest Christmas ninja gear, I stealthfully rolled into position by the window to see if a big sleigh was landing on our roof. I looked up, and guess what I saw?!?!?!
SNOW!!!!!!!!!
I may have turned up short on discovering Santa this time around, but never you worry…I’ll find him!
Annabelle … your posts make my day!!!! Keep up the sleuthing, that Santa fellow should show up sooner or later. Love your footwear!
Such a happy girl!!!!
No climbing on the roof like your Uncle Paul!
xxoo cutie!
That picture of you and Annabelle? So DELICIOUS!!! I sort of wish there was snow, but I know I would want to wish it away after a few days. Throw a snowball for me!
LOVED the surprised facial expression you captured on Annabelle’s face. Priceless. Annabelle sure is sneaky; of course she is aided by her reindeer slippers (adorable) and a bright purple hoodie. Wish I had her fashion consultant. Say, could you send her dresser my way?
