Snow Days!

It’s finally happened.  Our kids’ hopes and dreams and wishes and pleadings have come true…

SNOW.

Recently, the Little Miss had even gotten to the point of declaring “it’s NOT winter yet because THERE HASN’T BEEN ANY SNOW!”  And can you blame her?  Every kids’ book and movie about winter is chock-full of the chilly white stuff.

Bewildering.

But to our Little angst-ridden Missy’s delight, all was made right again this weekend.  The world, once again, makes sense.

Well, sorta.

Suffice to say, the Little Miss is HAPPY.

Her Little Brothers are pretty thrilled too.

Well, except for the whole you-gotta-keep-your-mittens-on-or-else-your-gonna-freeze-and-cry part.
The Little Boss (as we now call him) has been having none of that.

Don’t let that sweet smile fool you.  That boy is a (very cute) Little Rascal.

I think we put his mittens back on him about 1,000,000 times this morning (not like I ever exaggerate, or anything).  And then we quickly distracted him with sledding.

It seemed to work.

Well, sorta.

But besides Mittengate (all played out to the tune of No Mom!, every parent’s favorite jingle), we’ve all had a blast and the kids have been able to get the wiggles out.

AND, since our Age of Parenting began 5 1/2 years ago, we ALL got to have fun without me having to (nervously) carry around a fidgety baby or toddler.  Glorious.

It’s a whole new world, people.  It’s a whole new world.

Definitely.

SO CUTE!!! (I can say that being nice and toasty warm in sunny San Diego)
Is that blue and green scoop for William to shovel your sidewalk?

Love the pictures and the story line. We have snow here in Idaho as well. It has been very doable. It is what I call “nice”snow. Nice snow is defined as I can drive in it without spinning out. I did snowbird in California for a few weeks in January. 60 degrees was a veritable heat wave. Ah….but I digress.
With much love to you all!
