As a gal who fondly calls the shores of Southern California my Homeland, the deep blue (and my babies’ safety within) is a big deal to me. My parents always encouraged my siblings and me to become strong swimmers, and I fully plan on doing the same with my (excitable) (kinda impulsive) (somewhat reckless) (definitely wild) crew. So just like in summers past, we had the Littles take swim lessons with the fabulous Coach Melissa. And they had a blast! And conquered their fears! And learned a lot too!
Now maybe with more swimming skills under their belts Mommy can relax a bit.
Or not.
Cause peace and tranquility and all that other good zen stuff ain’t really how I roll.
There may have been a lot of FEELINGS going on when this photo (below) was taken. Cause again, that’s how we Plaxico/Wright ladies roll. Nothing a good dose of vitamin D can’t fix!
“Ahhhhhmmm. Namaste.”
And finally, for a little comedic relief, some Poolside videos. (Type in “wright” to watch).
Waterboy Ninja Booty Dancing will never go out of style. If it’s up to the Little Mister, that is…
Never underestimate the power of a good dolphin…
And stairs are a Mama’s friend. Particularly when a certain Little Three Year Old has decided that he has conquered his mountains (err…lakes?) and floaties are no longer needed (or acceptable).
Happy Summer! Stay safe!!!
And thanks, Nena and Pops, for the gifting the Littles with these swimming lessons!
Great pixs. Swimming in action!
Lots of love to you all.
Love this stage of learning how to swim… So fun and terrifying at the same time! Way to go little swimmers…
