Just Call Me Farmer Belle

Hey folks.  It’s me, the Little Miss.  I bet you didn’t know that when my Mommy was little, she dreamed of being a farmer who could talk to animals.  Well let me tell you…her dreams are my reality.  That’s right, ladies and gents, I’m the (Little) Real Deal.

Just call me Farmer Belle.

Two weeks ago, at our neighborhood’s Oktoberfest, I took my first pony ride…and used my farmer powers to tame the mighty steed.

I also got to win my Daddy a prize at the ball toss, and try my first taste of cotton candy!

And then last weekend I was able to visit the motherland…a real farm!  Mommy, Daddy and I traveled to Green Acres, a farm about 15 minutes from our house, and I went straight to work!

Like any good Little Agronomist, I made sure to…

Tend to the goats (they ate right out of my hand!);

Check out the corn and hay crops (i.e. get lost in the corn and hay mazes…don’t worry, we didn’t have to call 9-1-1 to find our way out);

Enjoy some of the pretty wildflowers;

And – one of the most important fall farmer activities – pick some pumpkins!  Okay, okay.  So I didn’t actually pick a pumpkin.  But I sure had fun playing around them!

By the end of our back-country-frolic I was T-I-R-E-D!  But that’s alright.  I took a big nap when I got home, and dreamed of all the fun I’ve had as Little Farmer Belle!

    I love that you guys found a cute farm next to you! She looks like she is having a blast… She is a Natural 🙂 Must take after her Mama when it comes to loving horses 🙂 Happy Fall!!!

  2. Ahhh, the close-up faces with the pumpkins are priceless. Maybe the Little Miss is trying to imitate Bewitched (with her wrinkled nose)? Wishing hard for her very own pony? Hoping ALL the pumpkins will come home with her? Miss you.

    These are great pictures and the story line that goes with it is also very endearing. Great job on this blog and a very happy fall to you all.
    Love,
