It was 4:00 one afternoon, and still a few hours until Daddy was scheduled to come home. I had two stir-crazy Little Babes in my care, who were itching for some excitement. What was a Mama to do?!?
Make edible paint, of course!
A little flour,
a little water,
stir in some blue and yellow food coloring,
and we were in business.
Geniuses that they are, my Little Artists quickly discovered the magic of mixing blue and yellow paint…to make GREEN!
And yet, though their outcomes were similar, their methods for discovery (err…mixing) were not.
But regardless of technique, or the mess created, one thing was for sure…
We had FUN.
Alas, my “creative” ideas to divert and entertain my children often do not pan out. But thankfully, this day I found a winner.
And guess what happened next? Sweet Daddy came home and bathed the two Little Painters.
It was a good day.
I especially love that last photo and how proud of himself Elliott is. You have two master painters in the making!
Let’s see…Van Gough, Picasso, Georgia O Keefe, Monet???? Loved the story line and the pictures. Love you all. Duane and I are planning a trip to see you, Pat (she doesn’t know it yet) and Lorraine this September. Would you be available if I gave you the dates???? Would love to see those babies of yours. Love you all.
