The Little Mister is 9 months old!

My Little Mr. Handsome is growing up so fast!

It’s amazing how quickly 9 months have passed by.

And through it all, the Little Mister has turned into quite the happy, funny Little Chap!

Following in his sister’s footsteps, he’s always on the move and always into EVERYTHING.

Maybe one day I’ll be able to transform his enthusiasm for household items into a willingness to actually do some chores for me.  The Little Miss is already into sweeping up “yucky piles” with my broom.  It makes this Clean Freak Mama oh so proud.

The Little Mister continues to think that the Little Miss is the coolest kid around…

…Up until the point that she knocks him over (onto his head), or shakes him too hard in the swing (note his look of trepidation below).

Sigh.  It’s a work in progress.

But she loves him so much, and has a heart full of good intentions.

Our Little Mr. Cuddles gets so excited when Daddy comes home.

Their greetings begin with hugs…and then quickly become climbing sessions on Daddy’s head.

I keep telling Daddy that he needs to prepare himself for another Little Wrestler in the family (the Little Miss is already quite the Little Brawler).  But that’s what Daddies are for!

But no matter what he’s doing, our Little Man is a HOOT.
Here’s a video that I took yesterday, trying to capture his new crawling skills.

Type in “wright” to watch.

He’s a ray of sunshine, and a blessing each and every day!

Happy 9 months to our darling Little Mister!!!

(Flashing his two bottom teeth.  He has 4 more on the top now!)

The Little Mister is 8 Months Old!

Our happy Little Man turned 8 months old!

He is the sweetest Little Guy with a smile that lights up the room.  That smile also includes 4 teeth, and 4 more on the way!  Our Little Mr. Social is chatting up a storm these days, with lots of “ba-bas” and “ya-yas.”  But even better, he now calls out for “Ma-Ma!” and “Da-Da!” as well!  Too bad for me, he’s usually upset when I’m paged.  But I’ll take what I can get.

When he’s not cuddling, he’s MOVING!  He continues to army-crawl like a champ, and loves climbing over any obstacle…particularly those that bar him from Mommy or Teddy.

Our Little Mr. Observant is so aware of the world around him now, and wants to get his hands (and mouth!) onto everything.  And thanks to his new ability to pull up onto his knees and feet, he can get into a whole lot!

Determined to keep up his robust physique (22lb 3oz, and counting!), my Little Chunk has finally mastered solids.  He’ll eat just about everything, so long as it’s served with a good helping of crumbled graham crackers.

We just love, love, love our Little Mister!

Our Little Queen Bee

I often tell people that I report to two very cute, very sweet, and very demanding, Little Bosses…

What a pair they are.  But let’s be honest, folks, at this point our hive is still ruled by one Little Queen Bee.  The Little Mister is new to the game of running his Mama around like a crazy person.  The true (Little) Boss of our home (and my sanity) is none other than our wonderful, hilarious, exasperating, vibrant, 2 1/2 year-old Little Miss.

Here’s an update on all that she’s been up to lately.  Well, at least all of the stuff I’ve actually captured on camera. 🙂

Just after her latest haircut!
(As well as the week of her first dentist appointment…where she was a perfect Little Patient!)

Quite the Little Musical Aficionado, she loves to play her Daddy’s “Tee-Tar”
(Or ukulele, for those of you observant folks)

We like to call this the “Benjamin Franklin look.”
True to form, she’s quite the budding Little Academic.
She knows all of her letters, and can count to 30.  And reading books is still a favorite past-time…
Especially when it means that she can stall my efforts to put her to bed.

Never one to get too serious, though,
our Little Miss Ham can always be counted on for a good laugh!

She wants so much to be Mommy’s Little Helper with her Baby Bro.
I’m pretty sure that she is teaching him all sorts of mischievous tricks
so that they can gang up against me.

Alas, I’m outnumbered.  They got me beat.

Yeah, and did I mention that she doesn’t like naps anymore?
I took this shot after one of her latest nap-strikes.
This is exactly how I found her after she talked and sang in her bed for 1 1/2 hours…straight.

And WHERE did she learn all of her trouble-making ideas, you ask?
Here’s a hint…

(Doesn’t Daddy look divine in his headband?)

Yes, she’s a Daddy’s Girl for sure.  He’s her #1 pal!
(And dance partner, jungle gym, sous chef, bag boy, etc…)

As I mentioned before, she loves to help out.
And she’s determined to be as independent as possible.
Hearing “I DO IT MYSELF!” a hundred times a day drives me a little batty,
but I’m proud of her for being so curious and confident.

This Little Girl of ours is a handful and a hoot.
She keeps us on our toes, and laughing all the way!

Watch out, world!
