Quiet, but still ticking…

We in the Wright abode have been a little quiet lately.  Late last week my appendix decided it was time to seek greener pastures, and so took a very dramatic exit…complete with a trip to Duke Urgent Care, followed by the Duke Emergency Room, and capped off with a lovely 2-night stay at Hotel de Duke Hospital, including a “complimentary” emergency appendectomy.  And so in the following days, with my midriff a bit lighter, I’ve been taking a little time to rest and recuperate.

Thankfully, our wonderful friends (the Actons and the Kortuses) and family (Nena and Pops) cared for the Little Miss during all of my health drama, and she has loved all of the attention.  She does become a little fussy when I’m not able to pick her up…

But she’s coping well and is still full of energy and spunk.  No matter the adversity, a personality like hers cannot be contained.  Our Little Comedian is up to her usual antics, and has done a very good job keeping her visitors entertained.

…Like the time that she decided to turn her diaper into a purse, and run around our kitchen in nothing but her birthday suit.  Good times.  She’s a hoot and we love her!

Halloween Fun…the Prequel

Hey folks, it’s me…the Little Miss.  Or based on this year’s Halloween (read my last post), the Little Bumblebee.

Halloween was a blast because I got to party like a Little (Bumblebee) Rockstar for not just one weekend, but TWO!  That’s right…Grammie and Grandpop visited us the weekend before and threw my cousins (Ethan, Luke and Madeline) and me a spooky-fun Halloween party.

The party was so neat!  We dressed up…

Note from Mommy: Many attempts were made to get a good photo of the kids together in their costumes, however, one Little Someone could not be contained

Played games…

Hunted for and painted pumpkins…

…And then Ethan (I mean, “Captain Rex”) shot Grandpop!

Okay, I’m kidding…I just wanted to make sure you were paying attention. 🙂

But that’s not all!  Grammie and Grandpop stayed for a big sleep-over at my house and played with me all weekend.  Don’t you just love it when you have grandparents around who will satisfy your every whim and desire?!?

Yep, that’s the good life.

Three cheers for grandparents!  And three cheers for Halloween!

Hope you had a Happy Halloween!

I sure did!

I got to get all dressed up, and hand out candy with Daddy and Teddy.

I made sure to greet every visitor with my most exuberant squeal.
I even figured out how to gnaw open a box of Nerds when Daddy wasn’t looking…yummy!

Alright, I best be going now.  Hope your Halloween was lots of fun too!

Love,
The Little Bumblebee
