3 + 1 = Twice the Fun!

It’s BIRTHDAY PARTY TIME!!!

Being the practical (i.e., sanity- and wallet-protecting) Mama that I am, I opted to celebrate the Little’s birthdays together in one big, wild, and crazy bash. Good news for me, the Little Mister (June 15) and Little Miss (July 9) have their birthdays within a month of each other. And they’re too young to know the difference…score!

Joined by nearly 40 people – family, and friends from church, playgroup, and preschool – we had a blast partying it up at the Rainbow Room! We weren’t able to get photos of everyone, but we are so GRATEFUL for all of the fantastic people who came together to love on our Little Revelers!

The party kicked off with lots of crazy-fun playtime…

And ended with celebrations for the Little Birthday Babes and an OVERLOAD of sugar!

(Note to self: All of my hard work baking and frosting 60 cupcakes may have been appreciated by the adults. But the kids? They clearly would have been just as happy with big bowls of frosting!)

(Is it just me, or does the Little Mister appear to be growing up a bit too fast?)

It was an awesome day. Kids happy? Check. Parents happy? Check. House still intact and not requiring a major cleaning? Triple Check!!!

Now I just have to wait and see how long the Littles will let me combine their birthday celebrations in the years to come. But for this year I can say for certain…it was a success!

The Little Miss is THREE!

Something wild and crazy happens today!
Can you guess what it is?!?!

Our sweet Baby Girl turns THREE!

What?!?!?!

I know, I know. I can hardly believe it myself.
But it is true.

Our vibrant, loving, hilarious, smart, maddening, nutty, outgoing, energetic, wonderful
Little Miss is a whole year older.

I have no clue where the time has gone.

The one thing I DO know is that she (and her Little Bro)
bring such incredible JOY and BLESSING to our lives.

(Oh, and grey hair too. Did I mention that yet?)

We thank God each and every day for our Little (3-year-old) Treasure!!!

The Little Mister ONE YEAR OLD!

Our Little Mister Birthday Boy turned ONE on June 15!

In honor of the big day, he got his very own (recycled) birthday sign!

Sigh. It ain’t easy being the second born. I speak from experience.

And admittedly, it’s tough for us to be super creative when you have an anniversary, four birthdays, Mother’s Day, and Father’s Day, all within the span of just three months!

Oh, and when you are tired and a wee bit lazy. That too.

But I digress. Back to the Little Man of the hour.

Our Little Birthday Boy wasn’t all that into his monthly photo shoot, but with a little help from his Big Sis we persevered…

And given how joyful he usually is, it wasn’t hard to find other happy shots of him showing off his fabulous one-year-old-self!

He’s such a doll. We can’t get enough of him.

For his big day, I made a yummy cake with chocolate frosting that will knock your socks off (thank you very much, Cook’s Country!).

We’re not sure how much the Little Mister “got” the whole cake-and-candle-thingy, but not to worry. The Little Miss was ready to help out! (No surprise, she is ready and amped for her birthday to arrive on July 9th!)
