The Little Miss is ONE!!!! (July 9th)

That’s right, ladies and gentlemen…we made it!  Our Little Miss is ONE year old!
Happy Birthday
, baby girl!

And let me tell you, the Little Party Animal had a BLAST celebrating her birthday!   …Well, once she woke up from her nap, that is!

(Presiding over the festivities atop her new toy box, made by Grandpop)

But the Little Slumberer’s fatigue was no match for all of the fun Daddy and I had in store.  Surrounded by family and friends, and decked out in her new pink party dress, our girl was the Belle of the ball!

Let me ask you, what’s not to love about a bunch of fun party guests, two kiddie pools, tons of crazy-kid-squealing playtime, a yummy BBQ dinner, oodles of awesome presents, and a petting zoo?!?!?  Okay, I lied about the last one…just wanted to make sure you were paying attention.

And of course, no one-year-old birthday party is complete without the adorable first-cupcake-eating scene!

We love you, Little Miss Annabelle!  Happy Birthday!!!

Just Me and My Pops

Hey world.  It’s me, Princess Annabelle.  Mama’s been a little slow to write a new blog post, so I thought I’d take matters into my own hands.  I mean really, people, what would that woman do without me?!?

In Mama’s defense, we’ve been busy little bees over the last few days.  Nena and Pops came into town last weekend to play with me and fulfill all of my royal decrees.  That gave Mama and Daddy a chance to go zip-lining in some far off land.

(Right after taking this photo, Mama decided it would be “hilarious” to pose with one leg on the platform.  She lost her balance and knocked Daddy off!  Lucky for her, he was a good sport…and well secured!)

Not able to get enough Belly-Time, Pops decided to stay the WHOLE next week so we could play and play some more!  Mama had to do some kind of work that required her spending all sorts of time on one of my most desired objects…the laptop.  Oh, how I yearn to hit those keys!  But I digress…

I told Mama that she could do some work, but only if I – the Little Boss – got to decide how to spend the money she made.  That’s right, folks, very soon there will be a brand new pony living in my backyard!  I think I’ll name her Twinkle Toes.

So Pops and I have been having a jolly ole time, and he is getting very good and jumping at my every whim.  He’s a good servant.  I haven’t been able to convince him to share all of the Swiss cake rolls, cookies, oatmeal cream pies, and other goodies that he eats (all day long), but I will!  Pops is no match for the Little Miss!
