A THIRD Little Musketeer is on the way!

BEGIN SCENE

(Two adorable and rambunctious little children sit playing together in a rare quiet moment.)

S7

Little Miss: You know what, Little Bro?  I think things have gotten way too quiet around here.

Little Mister: Sheesh, don’t I know it!  All of this peace and quiet is downright BORING.

Miss: Yeah, we need to shake things up a bit.  You know what I think we’re missing?

Mister: No, what?

Miss: A new baby brother or sister!

Mister: Man, you are right!  We need a third!  Because you know what they say, all of “the greats” came in threes!

Miss: Yeah!  Like the Three Musketeers!  Or the Three Stooges!  Or the Three Amigos!

Mister: Don’t forget the Three Blind Mice!

Miss: Huh?  I’m not sure about that one.  But I get your point.  We need a third kid in this place to really make our crazy family complete.

Mister: Hey wait.  Didn’t I hear Mommy and Daddy saying something about a new baby that’s on the way?

Baby#3_3

Baby#3_4

Miss: Oh yeah.  I have noticed that Mommy has been getting a bit more rotund in the midsection…if you know what I mean.

Mister: Hmm.  I have no idea what “rotund” means.  What do kids learn in preschool these days?  But I do remember Mommy telling me that we are going to have a new baby brother or sister in February!

Baby#3_1

Baby#3_2

Miss: Hooray!  That’s awesome!  If it’s a girl we can name her Annabelle!

Mister: And if it’s a boy we can name him Elliott!

Miss: I like that.  Let’s keep it simple.  Just as long as she or he knows who the BOSS is in this place.

Both (in unison): Yeah, ME!

END SCENE

(Though our family journey continues…with blessings x3!!!)

(As an endnote, the Lab Tech kept commenting on how ACTIVE the baby was during the ultrasound, saying “Be still, baby!  Be still!”  We laughed because the Little Miss and Mister were the same way.  I guess it’s safe to assume that the kids will get their wish of a wild and crazy trio!)

We have some SUPER news!

Hello, ladies and gents!  This is the Little Superhero, with some super news to share!!!

Well, for some time now I’ve known that I’m going to be a BIG SISTER!!!!  That’s right…sometime around June 12th there’s going to be a new Little Wright joining my family!

Mommy has been telling me for a while that there is a “baby” in her belly.  But every time I lift up her shirt to see for myself, I only see her tummy!  So I’m not really sure where this new baby is living these days.

But one thing I DO know, and am so excited to share, is that today we found out that I’m going to be the Big Sister of a…

BABY BOY!!!!

WAHOO!!!  I can’t wait for the Little Mister to get here so that I can teach him all of my (Little) superhero powers.  …Like how to climb on furniture (when Mama isn’t looking), turn our dog into a pony (Teddy just “loves” that!), and woo the likes of any grandparent with nothing more than a smile and a giggle (they’re like putty in my hands).

Once I get my Little Sidekick good and trained, together we’ll be unstoppable!

Mommy also said that my Little Bro looked healthy and active during the ultrasound, just like I did when I was in her tummy.  He wiggled all over the place, and then got the hiccups!

So get ready, world – the Little Wrights are takin’ over!

Alright, I must be off.  The life of a Little Superhero is always busy, busy, busy…go, go, go.  Well, until I get tired.  Or hungry.  Or just need a cuddle.

P.S.  Mommy also told me to report that some Christmas blogs are coming…Better late than never, right?!?

A Morning Surprise

This morning I was sipping a cup of coffee (still hot!…that’s a rare treat these days) and reading an interesting article.  All the while, the Little Miss was happily playing with her toys on the livingroom carpet.

Or so I thought.

She gave a little squeal, and I looked up with a start to discover…

Try as I might, I still can’t figure out how she got herself wedged under her swing.  My Little Wiggler may not be able to crawl just yet, but that doesn’t matter…When she puts her mind to it, the girl sure can MOVE!
