Christmas Eve Shenanigans!

Merry Christmas Eve!

Love, the Wiggles

I mean the Wackadoodles

Err…the Wrights

Dolled up and ready to go

Church Service at Christ Central Church

Candle wax on the pants? Always!!!

And wackiness.

Cause that’s how we roll.

Every.Place.We.Go.

I must admit, I loved these cuddles so much.  Even if he was super cranky afterwards.

Case in point…

Chow and Cheer

The Lil Sir was – happily – awake for this part

Chocolate mousse is balm for the (cranky 4-year-old) soul

Found the hidden M&M!

Ahhh…work is done.  And the food was so very good.

Bedtime Preparations (and Negotiations)

Santa is on his way!

and more importantly…

Happy Birthday-Eve to Jesus!

Snow Days

This week we experienced the heaviest snowfall we’ve seen since the Hubs and I moved to NC in 2008.

It was breathtaking!

And no surprise, the Littles were thrilled.

(Look carefully below…the Lil Sir swears it’s a Snowman)

3 days (and counting)

Snow is beautiful.

Snow is fun.

Beaches and margaritas are too.

Ode To Snow Days

But soft, what sound through yonder window breaks?
It is the snow, and the sleet not far behind.
Arise, fair sun, and melt the envious ice,
Who traps us in our earthly homes, besieged by our spirited children,
For thou, her maid, art far more desirable than she.

~ My pal, Willy Shakespeare
(with a bit of Julie “spice”)

Three days of snow (and ICE!).
Sledding, hiking, exploring, snowman  and snow angel making,
baking, game playing, movie watching, wacky-song-creating.
It’s been fun.
But we’re tired.
Bring on the SUN.
