First Day of School for the Lil Sir ~ 2017

He waited.

And waited.

And suffered a painful false-start (no fault of his own), as he cheered on his siblings.

And then waited some more.

And now, the Little Sir’s time has come!

Today was his very own

First Day of School!

At the 3-Year-Old Green Frogs class at Chapel Hill Bible Church Preschool, to be exact.

With his laid-back nature and penchant for joy we know he’s going to have a ball.

Good things are ahead, my sweet boy.

Good things come to those who wait.

And just for a giggle,

type in “wright” to watch.

The Lil Mister’s Last Day of School

My baby boy is officially a PreK Graduate!

Ain’t he so handsome?!?

I just love my bright and brainy Lil Mister.

Just like every year, I can’t believe how FAST time has flown by.  This was just 9 months ago…

The Little Mister has had an awesome school year at TPPK, and we are all so sad for it to come to an end.

<Boo.>

And we are so THANKFUL for his amazing teachers, Miss Tara and Miss Ann.

They’re tops!

And the Lil Mister was so proud of all he did and learned and accomplished this year.

Me too, Little Man, me too.

<Sob!>

Here is his whole silly Froggy PreK class.

<Awww.>

They all had such a blast together this year.

This one especially.

<Love!>

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, the teachers at TPPK are amazing.

And this lovely lady, the adored Miss Tara, has taken the most incredible care of my two eldest Littles over the years.  She has showered our whole family with encouragement, advice, hugs, prayers, laughs, high fives…you name it.  Miss Tara is part teacher, part counselor.  And we are so grateful for the three years our kids had under her tutelage.

<SOB!>

And we are all so proud of how much the Littles have grown!

Nena is so proud too!

And with that this (sappy) Mama must close the book on this special chapter of our lives.  We’ve been a part of TPPK family for the past 5 years in almost every kind of capacity…as students, TAs, volunteers, a Room Parent, a Board Member…you name it.

It’s the end of an era!

But as we continue on our homeschool journey, we must bid adieu to all of our great friends and teachers at TPPK.

What fun it has been!  And how grateful we are!

Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.
Proverbs 22:6

You shall teach them to your children, talking of them when you are sitting in your house, and when you are walking by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.
Deuteronomy 11:19

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
Matthew 19:14

A Great School Year for our Lil Mister Froggy

This kid…

What a joy.
What a handful.
What a blessing.

We love him so, and we are beyond grateful for the amazing Pre-K year he’s had at Triangle Presbyterian Preschool.  The Little Mister has been under the tutelage of the Fabulous Miss Tara, and he has learned so much, grown so much, and had just the most ridiculously fun time.

We love Miss Tara!

Here are some fun memories from his last few months at school…

King for the Day

When you’re the middle child, it’s not often that you get to rule the roost.  So it was so fun in January to celebrate the Little Mister’s 1/2 birthday at school and make him King for the day.

With brownies smothered in frosting, of course.  Cause that’s how we roll.

And when he’s done eating, a King must breathe…

And then he must be entertained!

With his siblings (very) close by, of course, because this is a Squeezed-In-Middle-Child King that we speak of.

The struggle is real, people.
The struggle is real.

Father’s Day

In April our Little Mister put on his finest so that he could be “handsome like Daddy” and had the best time celebrating all things testosterone!

NAILED IT.

Mother’s Day

And then in May it was my turn to celebrate with my sweet Little Man!

For some crazy reason all of my children think that I have black hair.  That’s cool though…I mean I’m cool…since I also seem to have some super awesome eyebrows!

And he got my age right!

We are so thankful for our Little Mister, and for all the ways that he has grown this year.

We are so proud of you, sweet boy!
