The Little Sir’s Birthday Marathon

The Little Sir turned 3.

3!

It’s been nearly a month and I still can barely believe it.

So we sang, we ate, we partied, we ate some more.

(Type in “wright” to watch)

And then we celebrated with Grammie, Poppy and Aunt Erin Wright at the Alamance County Children’s Museum.

Cook-out shakes included, of course!

Because, duh.

And then Nena and Pops Plaxico arrived for more birthday festivities!

They did, that is,

until the Little Mister threw up.

All night.

All over the place.

All hands on deck.

And so Nena and Pops went home.

(Wah wah…)

And then – after a week of buckets and baths and clorox and caffeine – they came back again!

(Woo woooooooo!)

We embraced the Little Sir’s inner Train Conductor

And went to celebrate some MORE at the NC Transporation Museum!

With a real train ride included!

That place is awesome.

Lil Sir Conductor APPROVED, even.

And then it was time to eat some more!

Because, duh.

We had a great day, with a very contented Birthday Boy (Engineer).

And then

the Little Sir threw up…

Little Mister

Elliott has been sick all weekend. To keep him occupied, and away from the other kids while he recovers and is still contagious, he has been watching shows in a room nearly continuously all weekend.

On Sunday night he is sufficiently recovered to join us for dinner. He eats a little, picks at the rest, and then suddenly bursts in to tears. He is inconsolable. We ask if he wants something else, fruit, crackers, juice, anything we can think of. He angrily just shakes it all off. We keep asking and he keeps crying.

Finally after much cajoling, he cries out, “I’M SO BORED!”

Elliott is sick

Quote

For the Little Sir, who is THREE!

Cute as a button
Silly as can be
My darling Little Sir
I can’t believe you’re THREE!

You are clever, smart and thoughtful
And always so aware
Even though you still refuse
To try out Big Boy underwear.

You always make us laugh
You’re full of so much joy
And with a dash of sass and wit
You’re definitely a Daddy’s Boy.

Your blue eyes so expressive
As you ponder the world around
You’re quiet and serene till you’re not
Then look out! Your words abound!

Romping through the woods
Armed with swords, buckets and rainboots
You and your beloved siblings
Are always in cahoots.

Oh my sweet Little William
How I love to watch you grow
I’ll always be your greatest fan
Wherever you may go.

But now don’t be in a hurry
My heart can’t take it, you see.
For no matter how big you grow
My Baby you will always be.

HAPPY 3rd BIRTHDAY,

Little Sir William!
